Aimee Pettersen has had a fascinating journey in both life and music. She was born on “Christmas Island” (named by Captain Cook) in the South Pacific, where she lived until she was 5 years old. Aimee and her family moved to British Columbia, Canada and by age 8 it became obvious that she had a passion for music. By her 10th birthday she was performing at local events in and around her home town of Abbotsford, and was making recordings soon thereafter.

Five years later Aimee was selected to perform at an international festival in Romania where she shared the stage with young performers from around the world. This experience inspired her to begin writing songs in earnest upon her return to Canada.

Soon Aimee’s talent caught the attention of Canadian recording artist J.R. Vautour and they began working together. J.R. arranged to have Aimee visit Nashville on several occasions to work and collaborate with several well-known songwriters, including Grammy-nominated Wade Kirby and Monty Criswell of Big Tractor, who wrote the George Strait hit “I Saw God Today”. Aimee subsequently made a return visit to Nashville to record with Kirby and Vautour co-producing several tracks.

While Aimee’s life journey started halfway around the world several years ago, her music journey has just begun. Fueled by her passion and talent, there is no limit as to where the journey may take her.
